Tie Up the Loose Ends

1. Make certain all bills are paid and invoices submitted.

  • Submit invoices and list of attendees to your staff liaison.
  • You may receive a final billing statement from the University with balances for additional services or extra venue clean up or damage repair costs.
  • Refunds from the University are mailed within four to six weeks.

2. Evaluate your event.

  • Did your event accomplish its established goals?
  • Ask yourself what worked and what didn’t work. What would you do differently?
  • Will you put on this type of event in the future; if so, when will you begin planning?
  • Evaluate your vendors. Would you use them again?
  • What was the feedback of your guests? Did they have ideas for improvements?
  • Communicate your results with your staff liaison.
  • You may be asked to evaluate your event by the University to ascertain customer satisfaction.
  • Congratulate yourself on a successful event. Written or verbal thanks to volunteers and speakers that helped stage the event help ensure future participation.
