Determining Insurance Requirements
Some organizational events will require additional liability insurance. Speak with your Student Organizations Leadership and Engagement advisor regarding possible insurance requirements. You should also speak to your UCLA event manager to see if that event requires the purchase of additional insurance.
The need for additional insurance is a protection for the signatories of the organization in case of possible liability issues arising from their event. The issues dealing with insurance liability are evolving so it is important that this issue be addressed early in the planning process.
