Determine Funding and Create an Event Budget

1. Chapters and clubs are responsible for funding their events and can receive discounted pricing on published venue rates.

2. Creating a budget in advance will determine how much is available to spend and provide a clear understanding of where the investment is going.

  • Items to consider for the budget: venue rental, catering, marketing, printed materials, honorarium, parking, equipment rental, entertainment, photography, décor, security, signage, miscellaneous expenses, postage, tax, service fees.
  • The University reserves the right to determine event requirements based upon specifications deemed necessary to produce an event safely and successfully.
  • Full or partial payments of event costs are due prior to the event.
